Every year, the Beaverton Arts Foundation awards scholarships to high school seniors and PCC students within the Beaverton School District to recognize outstanding achievement and encourage promising growth in the performing and visual arts. These scholarships aim to help foster a diverse and flourishing arts community. The Beaverton Arts Foundation is pleased to announce that it will once again award multiple scholarships of $1,000 to $2,500 for outstanding achievement and emerging artists in two categories:
1. Visual Arts, which includes traditional 2D and 3D media, graphic design, video and film, and digital arts/media, and
2. Performing Arts, which includes music, dance, theater, improv/comedy, tech crew (studio recording and production), and stage crew (lighting, sound, rigging).
High school and homeschooled students must currently be in their senior year and must attend a public, private, or alternative high school within Beaverton School District boundaries. We are also offering scholarships to college students who are currently enrolled in courses at Portland Community College. There is no age limit for these scholarships, but applicants must be living within Beaverton School District boundaries or have attended a public, private, or alternative high school within Beaverton School District boundaries.
The application opens today, November 1, 2019, and closes on January 31, 2020. To apply, please access the scholarship application here.
