Call for Artists: RACC seeks Request for Qualifications for Arbor Lodge Shelter Exterior Mural (Submissions due 5/17/23)

In partnership with Multnomah County and Do Good Multnomah, the Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC) invites artists/artist teams who are living in Oregon or Washington to submit qualifications for a site-specific exterior mural at the soon-to-be-renovated Arbor Lodge Shelter in North Portland. One artist/artist team will be selected to create a bilateral mural on the north and west exterior walls. The artwork may also encompass the exterior windows, if an appropriate medium is used. Located on the prominent southeast corner of N Lombard St and N Denver Ave, the artwork will be highly visible to vehicular traffic as well as pedestrians at the busy intersection.

The budget available for the commission comes from Multnomah County’s Percent for Art Program and is $45,000. Submissions are due by Wednesday, May 17, 2022 at 11:59pm PDT.

Further information about the project can be accessed here.
