Open call: A Framer’s Touch invites local artists to submit a maximum of two pieces of original fine art in any of the following media: oil or acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, pastel, printmaking, collage, photography, etc. Work must have been created within the past year. Artists are responsible for any copyright infringements and insurance of work. Full details are available on the A Framer’s Touch website.
Theme: The theme of this pop-up is “Inspirations of Oregon”. What inspires you about Oregon? Interpretations are open but all work must be suitable for family viewing. Submissions that do not fit these guidelines will be rejected.
Specifications: All work must be finished and completely dried. Work cannot exceed a maximum measurement of 12” on any side and must have suitable hardware and ready to hang. Works that are not ready to hang will not be accepted. Information on acceptable methods of hanging will be posted in the submission event.
Non-refundable submission fee per artist: There is a submission fee of $5 per piece with a maximum of 2 pieces per artist. This fee is due at time of registration.
Registration: Interested artists must follow the submission process and adhere to due dates. To register and secure your participation, complete and return the exhibit contract and submission fee(s). Registration remains open until April 10th or until 60 pieces have been registered.
Paperwork: Identify each piece with the TWO provided identical labels on the back that includes: your name, the work’s title, medium, description, and price. All work must be for sale with a maximum price of $100. An exhibit contract between the artist and the gallery must be signed before work will be accepted. Labels and contract must be completely legible.
Exhibit: This is a four week pop-up exhibit at A Framer’s Touch in Forest Grove, OR scheduled for the month of May 2020. A maximum of 60 pieces will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis. A reception will be held on Friday, May 1 st from 5-8:30pm in the gallery.
Advertising: Registered artists can submit digital images of their work for early advertising purposes. Do not send work that is unfinished or will not be in the exhibit. Images should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org with full artist info. Put “MAY 2020 POP UP” in the subject line. Artists are encouraged to promote the exhibit by following online and sharing posts as applicable.
Dates to remember: Registration begins January 10th and closes on April 10th or until at capacity. Submission paperwork and fees are due by April 10th. Artwork must be delivered for exhibit during business hours between April 18th and April 25th. Late work will not be accepted. Artwork must be picked up within one week after the exhibit ends or as notified by the gallery. Business hours are 10am-6pm Monday-Saturday.
