Calling all high school seniors and juniors- the Youth Arts Awards are back! It is now managed by the City of Beaverton Arts Program and advised by the Youth Arts Awards Committee of the Beaverton Arts Commission. These awards are open to high school seniors and juniors enrolled in schools or non-traditional formal education programs within Beaverton School District Boundaries.
Applications will close on February 18, 2022 at 5pm PDT.

This scholarship program is very similar to that of former years but we have added a few options and made some adjustments to be more inclusive of our education and student communities and given the changes we all have faced during COVID. These changes include:
- Two tracks:
- 1. Scholarships for high school seniors of academic equivalent (financial
awards up to $2,500 per awardee) - 2. Emerging Talent Awards for high school juniors or academic equivalent
(non-monetary, recognition-based award)

- We are now allowing students in non-traditional formal learning programs
to be eligible and encourage that they apply. - We are allowing letters of recommendation from guidance counselors and
mentors in addition to visual art and performing arts educators.
• We are allowing coverage of expenses beyond tuition alone on a case-by-
case basis.

Awards will be announced in May 2022 and a celebration will be held at that time and depending on recommended health and safety COVID protocol required by the State of Oregon, this event will take place in person at The Beaverton Building or another designated venue.
