Broadsided Press is seeking interested artists to create work for an anthology of poems, art, and information about Cascadia.
This “Literary Field Guide” is in the spirit of Sonoran Desert Guide and the Southern Appalachian Guide.
The guides acknowledge that “information” about the natural world is not the only thing we need — we need emotional connections to the world if we are to find a way to care for it. The guides are an exciting convergence of natural history, art, and poetry — and we are eager to bring Cascadia into the conversation.
This call is looking for artists who would be interested in creating work for “kinship clusters” within Cascadia. The aim is to have elements of graffiti-style art to be part of the book.
The selected artist would be provided a stipend, based on fundraising with a goal of $400.
