The City of Beaverton seeks a professional program manager with a dedication to the arts, collaboration, and public service. The most successful candidate is a collaborative leader who actively demonstrates inclusion and respect for diverse voices, backgrounds and ideas.
S/he has experience with creating original arts programs; excels at community collaboration; and has knowledge of public art management. They will also have Bachelor’s degree in arts or public administration or related field, and 5 years experience in administration of a similar program area, including 2 years in a supervisory or management role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience enabling the incumbent to perform the essential functions of the position.
The Arts Program Manager is responsible for the daily program operations, long-term planning and success of the Arts Program. Reporting to and in partnership with the General Manager, Beaverton Center for the Arts, and stakeholders, this position will lead the assessment and strategic development of arts programs to help arts and artists flourish in Beaverton in conjunction with the development of the Beaverton Center for the Arts. The position will manage a staff of two, using the Beaverton Community Vision, Public Art Master Plan, and City Marketing Plan as measures of success.
