The Economic Impact of the Arts in Washington County

  • Post category:Workshops

The arts mean business and generate a lot of local spending in Washington County. That spending includes money spent directly by arts organizations and money spent by arts event attendees who go out to eat, pay for childcare, and take transportation when they attend events.

But just how much money do the arts generate in Washington County and how do we compare to other regions around the state?

Join us for a special presentation at the Washington County Public Affairs Forum on January 22 to learn more about how the arts stack up in Washington County, the role of the arts in promoting tourism, and the plans to support this sector and keep it growing.

This talk will explore the results of a study released in 2017 measuring the economic impact of the nonprofit arts industry in Washington County. Presenter Cindy Dauer is the Executive Director of Tualatin Valley Creates.
