Call to Artists and Cultural Advocates: The Arts & Culture Leadership Incubator Program Seeking Applications, Due November 30

  • Post category:For Artists

Attention artists and cultural advocates! Applications are now open for Tualatin Valley Creates’ Arts and Culture Leadership Incubator.

This is a 3-month intensive program for artists, culture workers, producers, makers, and creative entrepreneurs working in Washington County, Oregon looking to take their practice to the next level. Participants go through a series of skill-building workshops with topics ranging from business aspects of being an artist to challenging methodologies around what it takes to be a community leader.

Part leadership development, part business incubator, the Arts & Culture Leadership Incubator aims to challenge, inspire, empower, and motivate. Participants create lasting connections during the program through peer networking, learning, and a focused collaboration on community activism. The program ends with a showcase in Spring 2023 for the community, highlighting the participant’s projects, collaborations and learnings.

Led by a faculty team of industry professionals, a central goal of the program is to empower bold arts and culture leaders from traditionally underrepresented populations* in Washington County who will help build a thriving, inclusive cultural and creative environment.

6 Incubator workshop sessions are currently scheduled from January to March 2023 and will be held in-person and virtually.

*Traditionally under-served populations in Washington County include people under 40, people of color, LGBTQ+, people experiencing income disparity, and people with disabilities, among others.
