BEAVERTON, Ore. – Flicks by the Fountain returns to Beaverton City Park on Friday, Aug. 24 with a showing of the Academy Award winning animated film Coco!
This free, family-friendly event kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with entertainment provided by The Colectivo Son Jarocho de Portland. A group of artists and educators dedicated to the study and sharing of the traditional music of southern Veracruz. The film will be shown on a giant inflatable screen beginning at dusk, usually around 8:45 p.m. The event takes place at City Park located at SW 5th Street and Hall Blvd.
Refreshments will be available for purchase and you may also bring your own food and beverages. Bring a picnic blanket or low back chairs and enjoy!
Event parking is located next to the Beaverton City Library and in the City Park parking lot. SW 5th Street will be closed from SW Watson Ave to SW Hall Blvd, and SW Hall Blvd will be closed from SW 5th Street to SW 3rdAve. The fountain at Beaverton City Park will be turned off all day on Friday, Aug. 24.
