Jane Vanderzanden

In this display of Jane Vanderzanden’s artwork, she shows her range of mediums while still capturing moments in wildlife. Jane will have not only have her detailed acrylic paintings, she will include her traditional scratchboard and some experimentation with hand created colored scratchboard.

A native Oregonian, artist Jane Vanderzanden grew up spending most of her time outdoors, where she most loved honing her artistic talents. Finely detailed for authenticity, her wildlife and Western works depict the artist’s firsthand observations of camping, hunting, on horse packing trips, and at Western events. She captures what she sees in her painting compositions. Then she applies many acrylic paint layers to her colorful artwork. The finished result is often described as ‘having depth’ and a ‘three-dimensional appearance.’
