Children have an opportunity to try out different mediums including drawing, watercolor, acrylic, pastels, clay and mixed media. Fine art concepts and techniques are taught with each lesson. Varied subjects include landscapes, people, faces, animals, cartooning and perspective.
LIZ WALKER – SUMINAGASHI PAPER MARBLING WORKSHOP
One-day Workshop: Thursday October 12
Time: 10:00am to 2:30pm
Explore this fascinating Japanese marbling technique using water-based inks floated on plain tap water. The name suminagashi literally means spilled ink. Create intricate, patterned rice papers using this ancient method and then later use these papers to build gorgeous layered collages.
ELIZABETH HIGGINS – GELLI-PLATE PRINTING & COLLAGE
Two-day Workshop: Saturday & Sunday – October 14 & 15
Times: 9:00am to 12:00pm
On the first day, we will make colorful textured papers using a Gel printing plate, texture tools, and acrylic paints. The second day will be spent composing finished collages with these papers, suitable for greeting cards or framed works of art.
SHARLA SEVY – PAINT FIRST; THEN DRAW! WORKSHOP
One-day Workshop: Saturday – October 28
Times: 9:00am to 3:00pm
Learn a quick paint technique using watercolor and pen and ink that is quite ‘freeing’. This can easily be applied to sketchbook and travel journaling. This class is great for those who are new to watercolor or experienced watercolorists.

We will be hand sketching and decorating our own one of a kind holiday cards. Bring your choice of medium (watercolor, pencils, crayons or markers.) Instructor provides
the White Cardstock and Envelopes and a portfolio of inspiration, including designs, stamps and stamp pads, stencils, glitter etc.
SUSAN PFAHL – ITALIC CALLIGRAPHY
