Brian Rapp has worked in public accounting since 2005, and joined McDonald Jacobs in 2016. In his role as Tax Department Principal, he enjoys sharing his technical expertise and passion to help his clients. Brian likes to dig into the overall financial picture and does more than just prepare a tax return. His primary area of business is closely held businesses, and he is well versed with the needs of clients in the health care, technology, creative agencies, professional services, as well as start-ups. He is interested in helping clients in more than just taxes, including forecasting, succession planning, and taking a comprehensive view the financial picture. He also works with individuals, partnerships, and corporations on their tax needs, and assists health care clients with compensation modeling, revenue cycle acceleration, operational effectiveness, and profitability.

McDonald Jacobs, P.C.

McDonald Jacobs, P.C. is a traditional accounting firm that operates in a non-traditional fashion. We see beyond the numbers, providing our clients with short term direction and long-term strategic advice. We perform the standard tax preparation, consulting, and financial reporting services one would expect, but it is the relationships with our clients and involvement in the community that drive us. Our firm thrives on creating lasting partnerships with our clients, our employees and the greater community we serve.

Our local identity in downtown Portland is evidenced by our anchored location in and around Pioneer Square where we have been since inception and our professional staff offer a wealth of experience as evidenced by our firm’s 40+ year history.
